Ctrl + Alt + Shift + : is the keystroke to insert date and time.

Is there any way to create a timestamp in a Google Spreadsheet?

Google Photos app is not uploading any picture

I can not upload any pictures to Google Photos for several weeks now, so yesterday (Sunday), I decided to poke around 

Photos 5.15.0.337400196 <- condition before troubleshooting

Space used

App 123 MB

Data 618 MB

Cache 642 MB

Total 1.38 GB

Android 10

First, I deleted data and cache and it worked for a while.

Second, I tied tricks mentioned in this article Google Photos Power Management

Battery -> Apps power Management ->Put unused apps to sleep, OFF

Battery -> Apps power Management -> Apps that wont be put to sleep, add Google Photos

Deleted data and cache

Force stop app

Launch app

It works until this article is published.

Termux moving files

After moving files using termux mv command, the update doesn't necessary propagated to Gallery application as shown bellow. 

To update it, run this command line:

am broadcast -a android.intent.action.MEDIA_SCANNER_SCAN_FILE -d /sdcard/path

It will  fix the Gallery app file list problem.

Side note: I am noticing weird behaviour, the developer page states that this intent is deprecated as of  API level 29 (Android 10), but the intent is well broadcast and act upon.

Android Text File Editor

Sometimes you just got lucky finding a good text editor on android by entering the winning search term, in this case it's: "text editor android".

I decided to use Turbo Editor, instead of QuickEdit Text Editor (which is a good text editor too), since I can search for a file in a crowded directory on before I open it on Turbo Editor.

Uploading png files

I am trying to upload png files.

1. So I create this shell post on android app without  uploading the files first.

2. Looks like I can managed to create a post, without png files, from android app succesfully.

3. Now, uploading some png files from web interface.

4. This concludes my test, apparently Blogger's andoid app is not ready.

5. Log the problem here. We'll see if Blogger android app is even a priority ...

6. I tried to upload a jpg file by sharing via Google Photos app to Blogger app on android. Looks like it doesn't work too.

7. Blogger is a lame app. Last update is 2016-Feb-10.

Hello World (Again)

It's has been a while since I posted something here.

Between then, I have dabbled in pancake.io and other static blog, but none of them satisfied me. Maybe because I didn't know what I need either.

Now, I still don't know what I need too.

But, there is a game changer in operation. I have BlackBerry KeyOne, an android device with keyboard attached.

The difference between BlackBerry Passport's keyboard and KeyOne's is pretty obvious, KeyOne is sporting the old keyboard of BB7. I love it.

There will be a lot more of posts and typing these days since typing on virtual keyboard sucks.
